We had a wonderful time there. As you said, apart from the hotel in Beijing, the rest of the trip was quite pleasurable. China has so much to offer and we are glad we were able to cover quite a bit.
Xian and Chengdu were really awesome. The Tang Dynasty dinner show in Xian was very nice. And we loved the Panda experience in Chengdu. It became the highlight of the entire trip for our daughter specially.
Another highlight for us was the great extent to which the guides would go to arrange for vegetarian food for us. We were surprised that we were able to get such excellent food all through the trip. Again except for breakfast at the Beijing hotel, all our other meals exceeded our expectations.
