The trip begins Beijing with the tour of Tiananmen Square and world famous Great Wall. Fly to Xian, the land of Terracotta Warrior, Continue to Kunming in Yunan, known as “City of Spring”. Visit Dali and Lijing, some of the must see places in China before flying to Lhasa in Tibet.


A short trip to Lhasa and Gyanden monastery, is one of those trips that is designed to give you a quick but, thorough introduction to Tibet . 

 
 
 

Day 01 Arrive Beijing, transfer to hotel.

Upon arriva in Beijing, you will be met & transferred to your hotel.  

 

Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 02 Tour Beijing

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour of Beijing, which includes excursion to Tiananmen Square-the largest square in the world, Forbidden City-imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasty, and the Summer Place

 

Lunch at local restaurant.

 

In the evening optional tour of Chinese Kungfu show.

Day 03 Tour Beijing

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Breakfast at hotel followed by full day trip to the Great Wall at Badaling, the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way

Lunch at Local Chinese restaurant.

 

Dinner Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.

 

Overnight Beijing.

Day 04 Fly Beijing-Xian

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to the airport for flight to Xian, the ancient capital of China.

 

Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer the hotel.

 

Lunch at local restaurant followed by visit to the big wild Goose Pagoda and Ancient City Wall.

 

Dumpling Dinner at a dumpling restaurant.

 

Overnight Xian.

Day 05 Tour of Xian, fly to Lijiang

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to world famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses with circle movie sho.

 

Lunch at local restaurant.

 

In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lijiang. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. 

 

Overnight Lijiang.

Day 06 Tour Lijiang

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Suhe Naxi people's village, Baisha Murals in Baisha Naxi village and Black Dragon Pool.

 

Lunch at local restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a Naxi music concert.

 

Overnight Lijiang.

Day 07 Overland Lijiang -Dali

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

Buffet breakfast at hotel, then drive to Dali, taste the famous Three Flavours of Tea (Sandao Tea) and visit the local Bazaar, then enjoy the beautiful rural scenery by HORSE carriage.

 

Lunch at the local Bai's family. Visit Erhai Lake in the afternoon. Stroll Dali old town in the evening.

 

Overnight Dali.

Day 08 Fly Dali -Khunming

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

In the morning, visit Three Pagodas of Chongshen Monastery.

 

Transfer to the airport for flight to Kunming in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Khunming,  meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. 

 

Overnight Khunming.

Day 09 Excursion to Stone Forest

MEAL: Breakfast/Lunch

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you have an excursion to Stone Forest, one of China’s most remarkable natural phenomena located 90 km southeast of Kunming.

 

Lunch at local restaurant.

 

Overnight Khunming.

 

Day 10 Fly Khunming - Lhasa

MEAL: Breakfast

After breakfast, tranfer to airport and fly to Lhasa.  

 

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to hotel.

 

Afternoon at leisure or just walk around Barkhor Bazar, old town of Lhasa.

 

Overnight Lhasa.

Day 11 Tour Lhasa

MEAL: Breakfast

Breakfast at hotel. Today will be spent exploring palaces.

 

First on your list will be the Potala Palace. The palace of the Dalai Lama a treasure of Tibetan culture was, till 1965, the seat of both religion and politics in Tibet and quite possibly, the singularly most important building in all Tibet. It was built in the seventh century by Tsongtsen Gampo as a fort and later renovated by the fifth Dalai Lama in the seventeenth century to its present specifications.

 

Your next stop will be Norbulingkha. the winter palace of the Dalai Lama which was built in the eighteenth century.

 

Overnight Lhasa.

Day 12 Tour Lhasa

MEAL: Breakfast

Today you will visit the Drepung monastery . This is the largest monastery in the world and once housed 10,000 monks and nuns. It was built in 1419 and the second , third and fourth Dalai Lamas lived and were entombed here.

 

Your next stop will be the Jokhang Temple. This is the holiest shrine of the Buddha which was brought to Tibet by the Chinese princess “Wen Chen”. You then stop off at Barkhor Bazaar outside the Jokhang monastery. This is a bustling flea market and is, generally, the place to buy souvenirs and meet other tourists.

 

Overnight Lhasa.

Day 13 Excursion to Ganden Monastery

MEAL: Breakfast

Breakfast at hotel. Take a day trip to Ganden monastery . This compact monastery was once gutted by fire but the restoration is now complete.

 

Drive back to Lhasa in the afternoon. 

 

Day 14 Lhasa - U.S. or an extension

MEAL: Breakfast

Transfer to airport and fly back home, or extend your trip to Nepal.
